A control panel is provided which allows you to upload files, set prices and titles. Once you make a file "available" users can purchase the file through a provided URL immediately.
If you have tried web-based upload forms, you may have discovered that other means of uploading (such as ftp or sftp) are sometimes easier. PayVeX supports both, you may upload via tools you already have or use the web form. This is particularly useful with large files, where your ISP may have imposed limitations.
If you're like most, your primary concern is protecting against lost purchases. You don't want angry customers claiming to have purchased an item and then being denied access. Read about how it works to guard against this situation as well as provide a course of action, should a transaction become lost. (such as a network error)
In order to protect against paypal issues or lost internet connections (such as your customer losing his or her internet connection before the file is downloaded) a reference code is used. This reference code can be matched with a paypal transaction code, protecting against lost purchases In addition, your customer can download the file a fixed number of times, this protects against the case of the customer loosing the file by giving them more than one opportunity to download it. There is also a fixed number of days a file can be downloaded. (all of this can be changed via your admin panel)
There will be those times when you'll want to allow certain people access to your files (such as people who have purchased your goods via other means) for these situations, you may wish to provide a link allowing them to download your product as if they had paid for it. PayVeX provides you this freedom.

PayVeX works with PHP 5.1 as well as PHP 4.

PayVeX ships with a setup utility. This setup utility will walk you through the process, analyzing your ISP's configuration, alerting you of the locations and php information.
Because some versions of PHP do not have "posix" enabled, or because you may wish to have the package installed elsewhere, PayVeX supports three ways of locating the package and it's data files.
Just like other products offered here, PayVeX is infinitely configurable, completely template driven with view settings and so-forth. In an effort to make customization even easier, a standard header and footer is provided.
To make it easy to change the layout, CSS is used. In addition, each screen has a complete view ID, controller method and filename shown at the bottom of the screen. This detail can be turned on or off via your admin panel, making it easy to find out what to change, should the need arise. After you are done, simply turn this feature off and your pages go back to normal.
